A Serious Breach of Duty
In my experience, Nuphar failed to report an incident of student abuse that occurred directly in front of her and other witnesses. She stated she would “deal with it,” but from my perspective, the incident was not reported through the proper channels and was instead kept quiet.
This occurred at the school where she was working at the time.
Based on my experience, complaints made to the school about the incident were not acknowledged or acted upon. In my view, the situation was minimized or ignored rather than handled according to mandatory reporting requirements.
Why This Matters
Failure to report suspected or witnessed abuse is a serious breach of professional responsibility. Teachers are legally and ethically required to report such incidents to the appropriate authorities. When this does not happen, children are placed at risk, and trust in the system is undermined.
From my perspective, her actions represent a clear failure to meet those obligations.
A Warning to Parents
If this is your child’s teacher, I believe your child may be in danger in her care. Parents deserve to know when a teacher has, in someone’s experience, failed to report an incident involving a student.
